Aside from our sleek modern accommodations, guests can enjoy these distinctive services and facilities.

The Pointhouse estate features various nooks and crannies at the waterfront offering private lounging areas and views. Outdoor loungers on the foredeck and comfortable leather chairs/couches to sink into indoors give you other options if the weather is inclement; besides the view from your room these are great spots for bird watching or storm viewing. All accommodations feature sound systems, high-speed broadband internet with Wi-Fi, Apple TV, DVD’s and video library, books, games and puzzles to entertain you the old fashioned way.

Zen Teahouse Studio

Tucked in a quiet corner of the property accessed by stepping stones through the garden and Japanese pond is the Zen Teahouse Studio. French doors open onto a private patio to make this a relaxing haven for massage, yoga or meditation lulled by the sound of the bamboo fountain. Start here for your landscape spa and nordic circuit experience in the new Lido Spa (Spring 2025) or book wellness treatments or private classes with our licensed therapists. Spa practitioners can also visit to offer you lots of options for pampering, health and wellbeing.

Gardens + Grounds

A West Coast Asian fusion garden with rustling branches, mossy cushions and arching ferns, incorporates a contemplative zen garden featuring a unique gabion structure. A meandering path winds through a bamboo forest and  up a natural rock staircase to a scenic viewpoint where you can get a good overview of the new Lido Spa and landscape gardens bordering the shoreline of sheltered Dolphin Cove.

The Pointhouse grounds also include a small lawn bordered by low stone walls Perfect for enjoying a game of croquet or bocce. Riprap terraces stabilise the slope and support a few fruit trees and berry bushes.

Raised vegetable beds at the Pointhouse Annex garden produce shared bounty for vacationing guests and the B&B in season. Perennial herbs and edibles are mixed in with shrubs, trees and perennials on both properties.

Water Rituals

Hot, Cold, Rest, Repeat. At the heart of this rejuvenating experience is the addition of a custom outdoor sauna (Spring 2025), embodying the Nordic philosophy of contrast therapy. Begin your journey by warming your body in the sauna’s soothing heat, enhanced by the aroma of natural cedarwood. Then, embrace the invigorating rush of cold therapy with a plunge into the ocean or a cool water feature, stimulating circulation and awakening your senses. Complete the cycle by resting in our serene relaxation zones, surrounded by the gentle sounds of nature. Guests can also enjoy a hot tub experience and unwind by the fire pit, adding even more options for warmth and connection.

Kwéx Pavilion

The 1000 sq ft Kwéx Pavilion with cedar and fir post and beam construction and dramatic winged rooflines is the perfect venue for small weddings or events. Backed by a rocky outcropping, opening to a small lawn and the circular driveway, it houses an outdoor kitchen with BBQ and curved bar area. Croquet and Bocce sets are available for outdoor games. A linear fire pit and overhead infrared heaters provide warmth for cooler evenings. Built-in speakers wired to the state-of-the-art music system can play soothing background tunes.

The Beach

Explore the beach. The tides expose an everchanging landscape. Access our deserted shoreline for photography, beachcombing, clam digging, or picnics from a private trail beginning at the lower parking area. Tours can sometimes be arranged with local biologists for bird watching, forest treks, or marine explorations in nearby Sargeant Bay Provincial Park.

Launch your own paddle craft to gain a different perspective on Sargeant Bay.
