*** A sampling of some of the Pointhouse elopements...
Blue skies and sunshine were the order of the day Apr 21, 2018. Ian and Rebecca successfully kept their Aerie elopement plans secret with the help of a few white lies. Their happiness and connection was a joy to witness, captured beautifully by Nick Westover Photography. They shared the good news with family and friends with a classic shot and of flags announcing”We Eloped”.
Stephanie and Andrei’s family wedding 2016. Dramatic skies; incredible photos courtesy of Jennifer Picard. Neither thunder, lightning or a few drops of rain could deter this couple from formalizing their commitment to each other with a private exchange of rings. Travelling from their current home in San Francisco, their Canadian parents and siblings joined them for a relaxed holiday at the Pointhouse. Alan Barnes of Ricolan Chef Services prepared a delicious celebratory dinner.

Our very first wedding, Sep 2012. Chris, a old high school friend from Vancouver and Sunshine Coast neighbour, wed his determined German bride who arrived paddling her own canoe with assistance from her soon to be brother-in-law. A delicious catered BBQ dinner followed by a couple of wardrobe changes and some dance tunes completed the celebration which ended as a kitchen party once the majority of guests had drifted off to the last ferry or other SC accommodations. Relaxed and casual, it will always be one of my special Pointhouse memories.
Youngest daughter Molly’s wedding to Dylan. Both sides of the family and special friends had several days to break the ice before a wonderful ceremony, awesome taco bar by Coastal Catering and a great dance party. The couple brewed “NuptuAle”, special favours for a drink now or takeaway memento. The photo booth from Coastal Weddings and Events was another big hit. Evening rain fortunately didn’t dampen high spirits.
Perfect wedding in a perfect setting; perfect weather for a perfect couple. Thank you for sharing your Pointhouse. Your environment is a blessed combination of earth, forest water in nature. This will always be one of my fondest memories.

My fiancé (now husband) and I first came to the Pointhouse on Valentine's Day for a romantic getaway. We fell in love with it and got married there in August. Our wedding was small and intimate. We rented the entire property for a week and had our families stay there with us. It was the best destination wedding I could ever imagine, only a 45 minute ferry ride away from Vancouver. Heather is a very attentive, kind and accommodating hostess and her property is a stunner. We will most certainly return in the future for either a romantic getaway, a family or friends reunion, or hopefully another wedding of our friends (or vows renewal)? Only the best dreamy, fairytale-like memories made here. This place will always have our hearts.
We stayed 4 nights, booked an elopement package, explored the area. It was secluded, quiet and nearby Sargeant Bay park was perfect to say our vows. Heather was very nice and handled all the arrangements. The Pointhouse was very clean and peaceful. We were able to book a couples massage at the Pointhouse the morning of our elopement which was lovely. The real star was Tracy, our chef for our wedding dinner, she was fabulous! She made us a three course meal we will never forget! (That salad!!) Everything was perfect for our elopement (cake, flowers, photographer) It meant a lot to us. Absolutely stay at the Pointhouse, you won’t regret it!
